Dharma Bum Center

January 1st, 2007 we opened the doors to the Dharma Bum Center, our first urban meditation studio in downtown San Diego. The center embraced the free-sprit of the beat generation and their artistic approach to religion and spirituality; exploring all modalities of practice, while offering a space for community and learning. Throughout the year the DBC offered evening classes in varietal meditations led by teachers from different local meditation and yoga organizations, including Noah Levine, Kali Ma, and venerable Tibetan lamas. We also hosted lectures, art events, and book readings, further blurring the line between religion, art, and academics. All of this was offered to the San Diego community by donation and was supported by the generosity of our community.
